In addition to some of the features and updates, the internal build of Windows 11 that was recently released online also shows us how the procedure for updating a Windows 7 computer to Windows 11 has been updated.
As with earlier iterations, you can also update Windows 7 to Windows 11 in-place using the Media Creation Tool. The procedure is comparable to updating a device running Windows 10, however you are simply given the choice to preserve your files. The preservation of your files and apps is not supported by this upgrading path. This implies that you will have to manually install your apps and adjust your preferences following the upgrade.
Additionally, before being sent to the new desktop following the upgrade, you will be shown a screen to adjust your privacy settings.
Due to the OS’s ongoing development, this hands-on video is not intended to serve as an instructional guide for upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 11. At the time of writing, upgrading to Windows 11 is not advised.
