Widgets, a new feature in Windows 11, is comparable to the News and Interests feature in Windows 10. The latest OS version, on the other hand, displays the clock and additional cards with weather, news, sports, and other information from the left side of the screen.

There are two ways to get rid of the Widgets button in Windows 11, including either Settings or the taskbar context menu.
From taskbar context menu
Use these procedures to get rid of the Widgets button:
On the taskbar, right-click the Widgets button.
Unpin the taskbar’s Widgets button.
To remove the Widgets button, choose the Unpin from taskbar option.
From taskbar settings
Use these procedures to get rid of the Widgets button in Settings:
Open the settings.
On Personalization, click.
Select Taskbar.
Disable the “Show Widgets” button.The Widgets button can be removed by toggling the switch.
Delete the Widgets button
The Widgets button will no longer be visible in the taskbar after you have finished the procedures. However, if you use the Windows key + W keyboard shortcut, the feature will still work.
