Windows Terminal version 1.10, which Microsoft has made available as a preview, offers some intriguing new features and enhancements that you can test out right now on Windows 10 and 11.
The notice claims that the update includes modifications to the system tray, bold text, settings, and the main drop-down menu.
Windows Terminal 1.10 changes
Version 1.10 replaces the feedback button in the main-drop-down menu with a command palette button.
The application will stay in the system tray when you are in quake mode and dismiss it, providing you with an additional way to open the window. Additionally, you can exit the terminal’s taskbar instance and still get the Quake experience from the system tray.
The app can now render bold text as of the latest version. This is still a work in progress, though, and future releases will include the setting.
You will discover the Defaults setting page once more to set the Windows Terminal’s default configuration as part of the settings user interface improvements. Microsoft is still trying to make this experience better, though. As a result, there aren’t many use settings available right now.
You can now add new keyboard shortcuts to the Actions page in the terminal without deleting the ones that already exist.
With the aforementioned new capabilities and a number of bug improvements, Windows Terminal 1.10 is now available as a preview. You can get it from GitHub or the Microsoft Store. You can now update to version 1.9 of the app, which has all these enhancements, if you are on the stable channel.
