How to send tabs to other devices with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

Sending open tabs to a different Windows 10 or macOS computer or mobile device, such as an Android or iOS device, is now possible with Microsoft Edge.

Designed to eliminate the need to manually email or text a link to oneself, the new feature is available in the most recent stable version of the browser.

This post will teach you how to send a tab from Microsoft Edge to another device.

Send tabs to other devices on Microsoft Edge

Use these steps after logging into Edge with your Microsoft account to distribute tabs to other devices:

Microsoft Edge is open.

To transmit a webpage to a different device, open it.

To see more buttons, click the address bar.

Press the “Send this page” button (computer with phone symbol).

Send page option in Microsoft Edge

Choose the device to transmit the page to.

The page won’t load magically in Microsoft Edge once you finish the steps. On Windows 10, for instance, the page name and link will be displayed as a toast notice. To access the alert if you are unable to view it, open Action Center.

As an alternative, you can right-click the page, choose the destination device from the Send page to your devices submenu.

You can use the Sharebutton in the upper-right corner if you’re on iOS. Alternatively, hit the Share button and then the Send to devices option if you’re using an Android device.

The feature is limited to the desktop version of Microsoft Edge and is currently out of beta. As of this writing, you must have the Canary or Dev version of the browser installed on your phone in order to submit pages from iOS or Android.
